This midterm assignment involved the deconstruction of an artist's painting style and the application of  color palette, brush marks and method of painting on a photographic reference. 
Below you will find the talented work of my students who were all given a choice of reference images to use and then given the freedom to stylize their still life towards whomever artist they were interested in. 
The assignment required them to create a reference board (on the left) where they could note the colors, brush marks, textures, or any other element of an artists work that they would incorporate into their own piece.
