OC Art Studios is now focused on offering monthly access to their online library of classes.
By becoming a member, you'll get access to the following online courses. You'll also get a 30-minute one-on-one private session to receive feedback on your work which guarantees that you'll improve your skill sets with guidance and assurance from a professional artist.

OC Art Studios was formed by Larissa Brown, a Disney Fine Artist, Nickelodeon Illustrator, Animation Character Designer, gallery artist and published children's book illustrator. Her paintings have been exhibited in group exhibitions in Los Angeles, New York, Washington DC and Orange County. Her publishing credits include THE RUGRATS, THE WILD THORNBERRYS, LAZYTOWN, RUGRATS ALL GROWN UP, AVATAR: THE LAST AIRBENDER, CHARLIE & THE OCTOPUS, and her very own CLYDE THE HIPPO picture book series, published by Penguin Workshop. She is the co-author and illustrator of the graphic novel, BLAKE LASER, published by HarperCollins and available for pre-order. Her 20-year teaching experience includes New Master's Academy, LCAD, The Animation Academy in Burbank, California State University Fullerton, and The Chuck Jones Center for Creativity. She's also taught comics to the employees at Cartoon Network, Google, and LinkedIn.

OC Art Studios Goal


To provide affordable and accessible higher education courses for students interested in learning the fundamental skills necessary for entering the animation, comics, and illustration industries. 

We provide free education to any identifying Black artist through sponsorships from donors and funded by the registration fees of paid students. Our goal is to provide growth opportunities to all students through mentoring and critical feedback.

Our courses focus on fundamental principles of art and design, strengthening draftsmanship skills, and providing professional knowledge about the animation and illustration industries.
